How EZA builds: construction planning, alignment and attention to detail

Here at EZA we repeat a phrase that has become almost a mantra: every great project begins long before execution. Project planning is what determines whether the site will run with rhythm or spend its life putting out fires. We have been doing this since 1991, and after more than 35 years building in Criciúma and the surrounding region, we can say with confidence: an organized project does not depend on luck, it depends on planning. In this text, we show what our project culture is like from the inside, from the schedule to the messages that clients leave written on the walls before the finishing.

Project planning begins before the first brick

Before any machine reaches the site, the project already exists on paper and on screen. We coordinate the designs (architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing) so that one does not clash with another. It is at this stage that most expensive construction problems can be solved with a meeting, and not with a sledgehammer.

With the coordination of the projects and VR visualization, the client understands each detail better, anticipates decisions and moves forward with more confidence. The alignment meeting happens on the construction site, not in the office

A good schedule does not live in a forgotten spreadsheet. Our team holds alignment meetings on-site, looking at what is actually happening: it sets schedules, assesses work fronts and adjusts course before a small delay snowballs.

That's how we're running SATC's new university block in Criciúma: more than 4,500 m² of precast structure, with tight deadlines and a high level of demand. A project of this scale doesn't forgive improvisation. Each work front needs to know what it does today, what it delivers tomorrow and who it depends on.

And this holds equally for a made-to-measure residence. The size changes, the logic doesn't. It's the same discipline we apply in high-end project management of every house we take on.

Safety is not a detail, it's a priority

This phrase is in our posts because it is part of our daily routine. Proper PPE, signage and collective protection on every floor are not bureaucracy, they are the condition for the site to work. A team that works safely produces better and makes fewer mistakes.

And safety is trained too. In 2026, we trained the team on a new shoring system for scaffolding with buckets, which brought more precision, organization, productivity and safety to the routine. Concrete pouring, here, is overseen by an engineer. Not out of distrust of the team, but because structure doesn't accept almost right.

The detail is what shows up ten years later

Attention to detail sounds nice on any website. In practice, it is far less glamorous: it means sealing everything up, filling it with water and waiting. The watertightness test it takes time, but it ensures the waterproofing is really working, before the finish hides any problem.

It's the same spirit as the EZA Seal, which accompanies our deliveries: we only deliver what we'd be proud to put our name on. In the end, it's not about doing it faster. It's about doing it well.

35 years aren't built with concrete alone

They're built with people. That phrase is ours and we take it seriously. Site culture isn't a poster on the office wall, it's what the team lives: an Attendance Award to recognize those who show up every day, the EZA Fit championship, the Aprimora EZA gatherings for the team to grow together, health campaigns like Novembro Azul and HR visiting the sites.

A well-cared-for team takes care of the project. It is that simple. Those who spend years at the same company know the finishing standard we demand, know the suppliers, know the mistakes we have already seen happen out there. This construction memory cannot be bought ready-made.

The messages that stay inside the walls

There is a ritual at our handovers that sums all of this up. Before the finishing work, clients write messages on the walls of the house. Names, dates, wishes for the life that will unfold there. Then the cladding covers them, and the words stay held inside the structure forever.

These messages brought even more purpose to our team. Because, in the end, no one hires concrete. They hire the house where their children will grow up, the office where they will see patients, the space that will welcome clients. And the relationship does not end when the keys are handed over: with EZA Care, our after-project division, the house keeps being looked after after the move.
